Thierno Barry has played 19 matches, the equivalent of half a Premier League season, against other teams without scoring, but it's now two in as many games versus Nottingham Forest.
Everton's quickfire double against previous manager Sean Dyche's side has enabled his successor David Moyes' new attacking hope to first break his duck in a royal blue jersey and now double his tally before December and 2025 is out.
It's not been an easy baptism in English football for the £27million summer recruit from Villarreal but we must remember that Barry has come a long way in a short space of time.
When last season started, the Lyon-born striker was still turning out in the Swiss League for Basel but after eight goals for them before August was out, he was on his way to Spain, where he would add another 11 to his tally.
