I FOUND myself in one of my favourite Liverpool watering holes on Monday, the Pig & Whistle - a great little boozer.

Watering hole... the Pig & Whistle
I was with a friend of mine known as 'The Pole' (I know not why) and hoping for a couple of quiet pints.
Well, that was the plan.
Not long after we arrived, a group of about eight Australian fans - all men of a certain vintage - came in.
I was determined not to engage, but after about 15 seconds found I couldn't resist.
