Walker rescued after fall

A walker plunged 40-feet onto rocks while trekking the iconic West Highland Way and was airlifted to hospital.

The incident occurred after 3pm on Friday, August 29.
The person slipped on the trail and fell 40-feet onto the rocks below on east Loch Lomond, near Island Ivow.
Due to the challenging location of the person, Loch Lomond Rescue Boat (LLRB) was called for assistance.
