Supporters want a new face and new ideas after exit of chief executive

But when the people above the manager - those that ultimately hold the power - stay the same, it's arguably not the case.

However, at Leicester City, Susan Whelan’s exit as chief executive provides a genuine chance of welcoming in a new era.

Over the past decade, there has been just one change across the three most powerful roles at the club, with Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha stepping up to succeed his dad Vichai as chairman following the owner's tragic death.

It was the natural and correct decision.
