Police make arrests in city centre assault case

THREE arrests have been made as part of an investigation into an assault which left a man critically injured in hospital.

The incident, in Horsefair Street, Leicester city centre, took place in the early hours of last Sunday.

Police said the victim, a man in his 20s, remained in hospital a week on from the attack and was still in a critical - but stable - condition.

Emergency services had been called to Horsefair Street just before 5am on Sunday, November 30, following a report that the victim had suffered serious head injuries.

Support continues to be provided to the victim and his family by the police.
