NO JOY ON THE ROAD: Brighton and Hove Albion hit four past Leicester City at the Amex Stadium on Sunday
(GARETH FULLER/PA WIRE)
LEICESTER City Women manager Rick Passmoor does not believe Sunday’s 4-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion will define the season, but urges his players to learn the lessons from the defeat.
Making their longest trip of the season, the Foxes started well at Amex Stadium, but were outgunned by their hosts.
After repelling early pressure, Brighton went ahead through Madison Haley in the 27th minute before Maelys Mpome doubled their advantage only two minutes into the second half.
Shannon O’Brien scored her second goal in as many games to halve the deficit for Leicester in the 75th minute but Marisa Olislagers and Kiko Seike scored late on to secure the points for the Seagulls.
