Musicians set scene for lights switch-on

SCHOOL bands and choirs will provide the entertainment when Leicester’s Christmas lights are switched on tomorrow.

The entertainment in Town Hall Square begins at 5pm with Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College band.

They will be followed by the Sound CaféChoir, which enables people who are facing homelessness to join in cultural activities and to socialise.

From 6pm, Leicester Cathedral Choir will build up to the main light switch-on which takes place at 6.30pm.

Music will continue after the switch-on, with the Semper Singers, Ratby Crescendo Bando and The Fosse Singers.
