LEICESTERSHIRE have signed Australian international Ashton Turner as one of their overseas players for the 2026 Vitality Blast campaign, writes Charlie Hunt.

The 32-year-old will join fellow overseas signing, South African Keshav Maharaj, right, forming a high-class international duo as the Foxes look to make a strong impact in next summer's competition.

A powerful middle-order batter, Turner has amassed almost 4,000 T20 runs across global competitions, including franchise tournaments in India, Australia, England and Pakistan.

His standout performances include an unbeaten 84 in the 2022/23 Big Bash League, showcasing his ability to dominate bowling attacks under pressure.
