Council achieving landlord standard

WATCHDOG FINDS SERVICE SOLID BUT WITH AREAS TO IMPROVE

SOCIAL housing provision by a council is meeting regulatory standards but with room for improvement, a watchdog has found.

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) made its first inspection of North West Leicestershire District Council's housing service in August.

On a scale from C1 to C4, it awarded the service a C2 grade.

In arriving at the grade, the RSH considered all four of its consumer standards:

Neighbourhood and Community - to ensure tenants live in safe neighbourhoods and feel safe in their homes;
