BID TO HELP PEOPLE AT HUB 'RECONNECT' WITH LIVE MUSIC

- By DYLAN HAYWARD dylan.hayward@reachplc.com

AN underground Leicester city centre nightclub is going completely phone-free in a bid to help visitors "reconnect" with live music.

Doppler, described as a grassroots music hub, said the new policy encourages people to "step away from their screens" and fully immerse themselves in the experience.

The venue, at 84 High Street, said visitors are now asked to pocket their devices and focus on the music, people and energy of the night instead of social media.

Doppler said the move is designed to create a space where "real moments matter more than likes, stories, or posts" in an age of constant scrolling and distraction.
