Certificate helps get access to university

YOUNG people affected by war and disasters will be able to study around the world as the result of a collaboration between the University of Leicester and a non-governmental organisation.

The university and Alsama Project are creating a world-first certification to recognise the academic achievements of displaced youth.

G12++ will establish a pathway for displaced youth globally to prove their skills and capabilities and have their academic achievements recognised so they can access university education.

The partnership was established with the signing of a memorandum of understanding by Professor Elizabeth Jones, from the university, and Meike Ziervogel, chief executive of Alsama Project.
