Booking platform serving half price meals launches

Leicester Mercury

March 02, 2026

A NEW booking platform will offer diners the chance to have up 50 per cent off their food bill at 15 restaurants.

First Table, which operates in 18 UK cities, has launched in Leicester.

The platform, which can be used via its website or app, works by giving diners access to a limited number of off-peak tables.

These are typically available at about 5pm or after 9pm, and those who book them through First Table can get their food half price. When booking via the app or website, diners are required to pay a small booking fee of between £4 and £8.

Fifteen spots in Leicester have so far joined, including Veeno, in St Martin's Square, and Chutney Ivy, in Halford Street.
