Badenoch claims that the city is affected by rape gangs

CONSERVATIVE leader Kemi Badenoch has claimed Leicester is affected by rape gangs.

At Prime Minister's Questions yesterday, Ms Badenoch questioned whether Sir Keir Starmer was “dragging his heels” on local inquiries into grooming gangs.
Mrs Badenoch told the Commons: “At least 50 towns are affected by rape gangs, places like Peterborough, Derby, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Rotherham, Rochdale and Preston.”
She said: “In the last year of the Conservative government we had a gangs taskforce that found 500 perpetrators, protecting thousands of victims.
