Another City rival plunged into crisis
Leicester Mercury
|July 07, 2025
ANOTHER of City's Championship rivals have been plunged into disarray with the new season little more than a month away.
-
Hull City have been placed under a transfer embargo for the next three windows by the English Football League, meaning they are unable to pay a fee for a player until early 2027.
It has been reported the Tigers were late in paying Aston Villa for last season's loan signing of midfielder Louie Barry, and that the club have outstanding debts to other clubs for previous transfers.
Hull have announced they will appeal against the transfer embargo and are "confident of resolving the matter".
