Thanks to vets who have given Wilf his life back

Margaret Russell, secretary of CHEADLE ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY, updates us and highlights some pets who are looking for a new home...
-
EARLY last week we took on the responsibility for a British Shorthair cat who had been found as a stray. He wasn’t chipped and no one came to claim him, which didn’t surprise us because he had a problem with both of his eyes.
His eyelids had rolled inwards, a condition called Entropion, so every time he blinked his eyelashes were scraping across his eyes. Can you imagine how painful that must have been? His eyes had also become very inflamed so he had to have treatment to reduce the inflammation before the Entropion could be corrected.
On Tuesday Lime Trees Vets carried out an operation to correct the problem and by Tuesday evening he was feeling and looking so much better.
On Wednesday he went off to his foster home where he immediately started to relax. We are so grateful to the vets and nurses at Lime Trees vets for the great care Wilf was given and for giving him back his life with no pain or discomfort.
