HEARTBREAK couples are turning down offers of help to save their broken marriages, despite soaring divorce rates.

Efforts by Leek Marriage Guidance counsellors to rescue marriages from collapse have been snubbed, as secretive spouses prefer to keep their problems to themselves.
And as nearby Stoke couples are forced to wait an agonising eight weeks for counselling, Leek's marriage guidance office remains empty as shy partners stay away.
With one in three of today's marriages ending in divorce, couples in Britain are taking the easy way out without trying to save relationships, say experts.
