Blues strike to land frontman Heath ahead of new campaign

LEEK Town have snapped up striker Connor Heath from Hyde United.
The 24-year-old hasn't actually played since dislocating a shoulder against the Blues back in December at a time when manager Josh Brehaut was interested in signing him.
The forward had an operation at that time and while Brehaut was trying to obtain his signature having put a seven-day approach in at the time the injury put paid to that possibility.
But after the season concluded, Brehaut was back on the case and while Hyde were keen to keep him, the 6ft lin striker opted for a move to Harrison Park.
"In terms of what he brings as a centre-forward he has got a bit of everything," said Brehaut.
"He's 6ft lin, strong build, can strike a ball incredibly powerfully, from range with very little backlift and he's actually very quick as well, surprisingly quick for what people might perceive when you look at him," explained the manager.
"His physical frame is so stocky and broad people wouldn't necessarily expect him to be that type but he can actually get on the shoulder and run in behind.
