ALDI has announced ambitious plans to open 40 new stores as part of a £370million investment programme across Britain.

The supermarket giant's expansion will bring fresh outlets to numerous locations, with an initial list of sites unveiled today including Guildford and Reigate/Redhill.

The move is part of Aldi’s £1.6billion two-year investment plan announced last year, as the budget retailer pushes towards its long-term ambition of 1,500 stores nationwide.

This follows a busy 2025, which saw Aldi roll out a string of new branches across the country, reports the Express.
