In September 2021, Ronaldo became the first player to score 10 senior international hat-tricks when he scored three times in a World Cup qualifying win over Luxembourg.
Ronaldo's two goals for Portugal against Hungary last week took his World Cup qualifying total to 41, beating the previous record of 39 he jointly held with Guatamala's Carlos Ruiz.
