The Blades surged into a two-goal lead inside 17 minutes at Deepdale, with Andre Brooks breaking the deadlock and Callum O'Hare swiftly adding a second. However, PNE scored either side of halftime through Lewis Dobbin and an own goal from United captain Japhet Tanganga.
