Road closures planned to allow for drainage works
Lancashire Evening Post
|November 11, 2025
Lancashire County Council is requesting permission to temporarily prohibit traffic for two weeks until November 21.
-
Part of Main Street in Whittington is to be closed due to new housing works.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow installation and connection of new foul water inspection chamber and associated drainage within the carriageway for a new housing development.
It means no vehicles can proceed over a length of Main Street, Whittington, for a distance of approximately 10 metres either side of property known as Whittington Farm.
