Residents say roadworks 'worst they have seen'

Anger and frustration has boiled over in a Lancashire village after months of severe delays on the A6.

One way traffic lights causing frustration

Temporary traffic lights outside a Wain Homes development in Barton, near Preston, saw traffic reduced to one lane as work was conducted outside the entrance to the housing development.

But residents and business owners expressed their dismay at the latest roadworks, claiming the decision to reduce traffic to one lane, plus a perceived lack of urgency to the works, had caused traffic delays to be the worst the area had experienced.
