The owner of a closing pub in Walton-le-Dale said he hopes someone will take the space on and run a venue the community can be proud of.

Taps and Wine in Walton-le-Dale

Sean O’Hagan bought the former Conservative Club on Chorley Road in Walton-le-Dale at auction in 2018 before transforming the dated social venue into Taps and Wine.

But he says the pandemic, issues with finding the right chef and their own lack of experience means that it has been challenging for them to make it work.

He said: “We'd be open to leasing it out, we just want someone with the right background and the right experience to come in and take it on.”
