Property firm and director are fined for flouting planning law

A company and one of its directors have been fined for planning breaches at a landmark Lancaster site.

The former Alexandra Hotel in Lancaster.
The case was the latest in relation to the former Alexandra Hotel in Penny Street, Lancaster.
The Grade II-listed building has been the subject of works which Lancaster City Council argued did not have the required consents.
