High school hailed 'Outstanding' in big turnaround

A secondary school is celebrating after an 'Outstanding' Ofsted inspection rounded off more than a decade of improvement.
Corpus Christi headteacher John Hankin
Inspectors visited Corpus Christi Catholic High School, in Preston, in July 2025 and awarded the school 'Outstanding' in all categories.
It marks a remarkable turnaround at the school, in St Vincents Road, Fulwood, which in April 2013 was called 'Inadequate' by Ofsted inspectors.
A report said: "Pupils feel lucky, and they are exceptionally proud, to be part of such a kind and welcoming school community.
