D:Ream duo – things still good for political pop anthem duo

If anything says 'nostalgia' it’s D:Ream - best known for their 1990s hit Things Can Only Get Better, the track famously used in the run-in to Labour's 1997 election victory.

Looking back you could be forgiven for thinking that the song gained immortality on the back of its being used in that campaign, but the band had already spent four weeks at number 1, gaining a Brit Award nomination into the bargain, before being picked up by Tony Blair’s team and sound-tracking the fall of a Conservative government that had been in power since 1979.
