While not as good in a pie as blackberries or brambles, they hold powerful, medicinal properties. Hawthorn can protect our heart, improve circulation and even boost our energy.

As we age and feel more tired, giving your heart a helping hand is one way to ensure your body is getting the energy it needs. The heart pumps blood to the very tips of our fingers and toes, but it also supplies blood to every organ in our body. This blood supply delivers oxygen and essential nutrients to keep our organs fuelled and efficient.
