Council and police investigate incident
East Ayrshire Council has been rocked by a fresh criminal investigation involving a staff member at one of their schools.
The Standard can reveal that a member of staff associated with a primary school and early childhood centre in the region has been suspended amidst allegations of ‘inappropriate behaviour’
‘The individual at the centre of the allegation is now subject to a police inquiry.
An investigation has been launched by the council and police, following an alleged incident at a school.
In a letter issued to parents and guardians at the school and early childhood centre, Andrew Kennedy, head of facilities and property management, confirmed that a staff member has been suspended, pending an investigation.
The Standard understands that no child was harmed and the central allegation does not involve a teacher.
