Killie boss plots midfielder's top-flight evolution
Stuart Kettlewell is aiming to turn David Watson into a more 'complete' midfielder — and insists the youngster has all the attributes to succeed.
The 20-year-old perhaps didn’t kick on last term in the way many expected having coming off being named the country's Young Player of the Year in helping guide Kilmarnock to a fourth place finish and Europa League berth.
While his new boss heaped praise on the youngster's attacking attributes, he admitted that they're looking for him to add more to his game — although he has no doubts he'll do just that.
He said: "We've asked a different job of Davie in preseason games, but I'm unbelievably excited to come and work with him. 14 months ago he was Young Player of the Year — but to boot he's a breath of fresh air.
