A local Meteorological Department (MeT) official said that there is no major rainfall expected in the immediate future.
-
However, light to moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms are likely at scattered places across Jammu and Kashmir till June 30.
“From July 1 to 2, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy with the possibility of intermittent rain and thundershower at scattered locations,” the official added.
The ongoing dry spell has resulted in warmer days, especially in the Kashmir Valley, where residents had earlier witnessed some brief respite from the heat due to short-lived rainfall earlier in the week.
