For years, families in Kashmir trusted that a degree would lead to a safe job. Many young people now feel the ground shifting under them.
More than 3.6 lakh educated youth in Jammu and Kashmir remain unemployed. They worked hard in classrooms, only to find that employers ask for practical skills they never picked up. Faizan’s story speaks for many.
He completed his studies with hope, then spent months applying for jobs because he lacked the real-world training companies look for.
