11 Day Chase Ends Black Bear On 'City Tour' Captured Near Nigeen Lake

A black bear that had sparked panic across several neighbourhoods in Srinagar over the past few days was finally captured near the Nigeen locality late Saturday evening.
According to officials, a specialised team from the Wildlife Department, assisted by Srinagar Police, successfully trapped the animal after an extended search operation. The bear had been roaming through residential pockets, prompting fear among locals and repeated alerts from authorities.
