Pupils get lessons in rail and beach safety

CHILDREN at St Nicholas at Wade CE Primary have been learning important safety knowledge for visits to the seaside and travel on the railways.

Head teacher Taralee Kennedy said: “Many of our pupils enjoy our lovely sandy beaches and beautiful seaside in the warm weather - but there are ever-present dangers that it is vital to understand.
“The same applies to using the railway network - with our older children heading to secondary school in the next year or two, it is likely that some may need to use rail travel far more frequently. The rail information sessions underlined important safety information.
