Teacher Jane Martin, 57, from Ipswich, has been living with gum disease for several years

"Since I was diagnosed with gingivitis, the earliest stage of gum disease, a few years back, I've been super serious about my oral health.

"Gingivitis is basically inflammation of the gums, often caused by plaque build-up, and leads to sore and swollen gums that can bleed when you brush your teeth.

"If left untreated, gingivitis can turn into periodontitis, a more severe form of gum disease that can lead to tooth loss.
