NO HALF MEASURES pulled off the biggest shock in July Cup history with a 66-1 skinner that gave three-time champion jockey Richard Hughes his first Group 1 triumph as a trainer.
Hughes fought an uneven battle with the scales, and a drink problem, to lift the jockeys’ crown from 2012 to 2014 — his marquee victories included in the 2003 July Cup aboard Oasis Dream
