THOMAS IS OFF BOOS
Irish Sunday Mirror
|August 31, 2025
THOMAS FRANK acknowledged Tottenham fans had every right to boo after he was brought back down to earth after watching his side slump at Bournemouth.
-
IT has taken just 225 minutes for Thomas Frank to be plied with boos by Tottenham fans.
After a 100 per cent start and no goals conceded on the back of a standout win at Manchester City last week, the Spurs faithful thought they had hit the Bullseye with Frank's arrival from Brentford.
But they were given a look at what they could have won as Andoni Iraola, who was hotly tipped to replace Ange Postecoglou, masterminded a dominant display from Bournemouth.
Spurs £51.8million signing from RB Leipzig, Xavi Simons, was introduced to the home crowd prior to kickoff and what followed was a 90-minute advert for getting your business done early, especially with Dominic Solanke ruled out by injury.
The boos came at the end of a first half in which Spurs failed to muster a shot and at full-time where their xG had at least gone from 0 to 0.17.
