Draper apologises for fit of temper after tonsillitis leaves him low on energy

- BY NEIL MCLEMAN

SMASH & DRAB

JACK DRAPER revealed he is suffering from tonsillitis after smashing an advertising board in fury as he crashed out at Queen's Club.

And the frustrated British No.1, who will now take time off to recover for Wimbledon, admitted: "I don't want to be behaving like that."

Draper insisted he had been beaten by "the better player" after losing his semi-final 6-4 4-6 7-5 to world No.30 Jiri Lehecka.

The big-hitting Czech fired down 16 aces and one serve at 141mph - as he knocked the last British player out of the singles.

Not even the presence of Jon Bon Jovi - and a blast of Livin' On A Prayer in the second set - could inspire Draper to reach a home final for the first time.
