THOMAS TUCHEL admitted that England's fans were right to jeer after Harry Kane's secondhalf strike prevented a World Cup humiliation.

The Three Lions were booed off at half-time and then again at the end as 6,000 travelling fans made it clear that the performance against a nation 173rd in the FIFA rankings was unacceptable.

Tuchel said he didn't hear the abusive chants aimed during the game at Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

But he said: "Booing is OK. The support was amazing, but fans were right to be unhappy and I can't blame them for that.

They were underwhelmed.
