Aid delivery is just a fantasy

NEWS of the horrendous humanitarian conditions in Gaza has permeated Irish society, with critical aid and food being blocked by the Israeli Government.

For many months, Israel has had total control of how lifesaving supplies are delivered and distributed to Gaza's starving population.

The situation becomes more horrifying as each day goes by.

More and more images and videos of emaciated, malnourished children and their desperate parents are arriving on our phones - why can't any food get in?

The United Nations is normally the organisation that delivers lifesaving aid in countries affected by conflict and famine.

But in Gaza the Israeli Government has blocked the UN from providing humanitarian support.

Supplies cannot get into the country, because the Netanyahu regime is systemically blocking it.

The fact the Israeli Government has been allowed to do this with total impunity is abhorrent.

It's a stain on every government that has allowed them to act with total impunity.
