THERE'S a lovely, bonkers humour and off-kilter style to the opening design of The Outer Worlds 2 that differentiates it from other space RPGs.

We've had various Mass Effects, Starfield and No Man's Sky - all great in their own ways but also quite straight-laced.

This odd title doubles down on the original's funny bone-scratching role-play to deliver a better first-person experience in the outer worlds of the solar system.

The story goes that The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion.
