TWO-THIRDS of Lotto players would buy a house for each family member if they won big, while half said they'd give up to 25% of their prize away.

Others also said they would build a three-bedroom property just for their dog or buy an entire airport so they could travel at a moment's notice.

Details of a survey carried out by the National Lottery were revealed as last night's EuroMillions jackpot topped €250million.

And whether talking about setting up their own chocolate empires or installing gold loos, it's clear that when Irish players dream of Lotto wins, they're not holding back.

Go big or go home seems to be the motto-perhaps in this case via one's own private jet.

The poll study paints a picture of a nation driven by high spirits and desire to give back.

It found 52% of participants plan on giving away between 10% and 25% of any windfall, with the average pledge being a noble 23.8%.

And 71% said they'd secure a home for all their relatives, but alongside all the talk of altruism and family firsts, some people have wilder things in mind.
