Phil Foden vows City will turn it all around again

- JOHN CROSS

PHIL FODEN says this season has been the biggest lesson of his career.

Foden has been a huge part of Manchester City's success as he has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League and a Treble in an already glittering career.

But Pep Guardiola's all-conquering four-in-a-row champions could miss out on the biggest prizes this year as they are out of the running in the title race and the FA Cup is the last domestic trophy they can win.

It has been an eye-opening campaign for City but, even amid the disappointment, Foden says he has taken a lot from the campaign and is convinced they will come back stronger.

Foden, speaking to TNT Sports' Sign Up - Into Football, said: "I feel like this season, even though we have not won [as much], I have learned the most from it. It just shows how much you have to put in to win these trophies and the level that is set to win.

"It's a learning curve for me this season and next season hopefully we can be back to our best and play the way that we used to."
