Laughable no contest mocks the tournament

THIS wasn't what FIFA wanted.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino insisted this Club World Cup would have “the best players in the world, the best clubs in the world”.
But Bayern Munich didn't have to be anywhere near their best to notch double figures against amateur opponents Auckland.
Perhaps, the only surprising part was Harry Kane did not find the net despite playing for an hour against a bunch of part-timers.
His replacement Jamal Musiala did net a hat-trick while Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller, and Michael Olise all scored twice.
Bayern boss Vincent Kompany said: “Job done. We played a serious game. We did what we needed to do.
