It's Shear delight as super Sandro keeps the party going

- IAN MURTAGN

TOONALI!

NEWCASTLE legend Alan Shearer reckons the past few weeks have been his most memorable in football.

Shearer the Toon fan has wallowed in the modern-day Magpies' Carabao Cup success, insisting the euphoria he's felt eclipsed anything he experienced in his illustrious career.

So he wouldn't have minded one little bit witnessing Newcastle's latest goal machine achieve a feat he never quite managed during his own time in a black and white shirt.

Alexander Isak's first half injury-time goal made him the first Toon striker in the Premier League era to score 20 goals in successive seasons as Eddie Howe's side ensured the Geordie party goes on and on.

It wasn't the most memorable in his bustling collection.

Jacob Murphy crossed and Isak's volley probably would not have beaten Mark Flekken without a deflection off Bryan Mbeumo.
