Family gets the space to live life to the full

THE Home Rescue: The Big Fix team this week comes to the aid of the family of an autistic boy as they seek a living space that suits all their needs.

Designer Dee Coleman and builder Peter Finn put their talents to good use in the home of couple Karen and Will, whose youngest son Ailbe is nonverbal, in Drimnagh, Dublin.

They bought their three-bed terraced house in 2006, when they were in their early 30s and have since had two sons - Ailbe and his older brother Seb, 12.
