Boyne search for teenager enters its third week

GROWING CONCERN Benjamin Spot, 14, was last seen cycling in Navan, Co Meath

SEARCH teams scouring a river for a missing boy have deployed sonar and boat crews as efforts to find the teenager intensify.

Benjamin Spot, 14, was last seen cycling from Market Square in Navan, Co Meath, toward the Kentstown Road/ Ramparts area on November 19.

It’s feared that he entered the River Boyne.

His bike was discovered the following morning at The Ramparts.

On Monday, Meath Civil Defence said: “Our kayak team, search dog, boat and sonar crew were involved today in difficult conditions.

“The search continues over the coming days.”
