Finn hails 'belief' in Irish camp to go all the way
FINN SHERLOCK has hailed the belief within the Ireland dressing room - and he reckons it could drive them “all the way” at the Under-17 World Cup.
Sherlock and his teammates take on Switzerland this afternoon, with a spot in the quarterfinals up for grabs.
And after topping their group and then eliminating a talented Canada side on penalties in their last-32 clash, confidence is sky high among manager Colin O'Brien's players and staff.
But the Swiss will provide Ireland with more top level opposition. They also topped their group and picked up wins against the Ivory Coast and Mexico on their way to the knockout stages.
Both sides will be familiar with each other, having played out a draw in a friendly last month during a pre-tournament training camp in Pinatar, Spain.
