Sinfield brings MND ultra challenge to Cork today

MODEST Kevin Sinfield ran 27.9 miles through stair-rod rain and icy winds on the first leg of his ultramarathon challenge - inspired by the motor neurone disease suffers he’s doing it for.

And today he takes to the streets of Cork on the second of seven back-to-back ultramarathons in the ‘7 in 7: Together’ challenge, 18 months after the disease killed his best friend Rob Burrow at 41.

Kevin, 45, said: “The rain is beating down and it's cold. It's a good time of year for us to run. There's nobody else doing anything to bring this community together.
