THE Traitors co-champion Rachel Duffy has told how things have been “rough” following the loss of her mother.

- JULIA HUNT

The star announced in January that her mum - who suffered from Parkinson's Disease and was fighting dementia - had passed away.

It happened just days after she and fellow Traitor Stephen Libby triumphed in the most recent series of Claudia Winkleman's BBC programme.

Rachel appeared on the BBC's Morning Live yesterday where presenter Louise Minchin mentioned that Rachel had been scheduled to appear on the show previously but had been unable to attend.

Rachel explained: “So unfortunately I was about to come on the show and chat all about my lovely adventure in the castle.

“Got a phone call to go home and see mum and unfortunately she passed away.
