Residents display their home truths

A FULLY renovated art deco home, a labour-of-love period property and a modern new build designed by the owner all feature in this week's Home of the Year heat.

As the series, fronted by TV architect Hugh Wallace, comes closer to the end, judges have to pick one to go through to the final and a chance to be named Ireland's most impressive home.

Contenders include Jason Cooke and wife Katrina, who moved into their Wicklow home in 2004.

It had been a guest house in the 1920s and 1930s and had charm and stature, but it lacked modern living space.
